About the Project

A multi-million sales bootcamp

Super9 is a three-day intensive cloud training program, followed by an ongoing monthly peer group component and regular touch points. Sales agency representatives will be grouped by nines and then will each have a round table discussion with technology suppliers. Around 2-3 supplier representatives at a time will rotate with each sales group discussing the pain points and and strategies in selling the bundled technology products.

The Challenge

Create a logo that embodies the event

The whole idea of the seminar-workshop, 9 individuals with technology selling mentorship, should be captured in the logo design of the event yet stay in the branding of the Intelisys and its accompanying department, Cloud Services University.

I first dabbled with the idea of incorporating the conversations among agents and technology seller. I created icons that I can incorporate in the name.

I have also made iterations to include information about the nine individuals, which truly makes the entire event unique compared to other workshops or seminars.

The Solution

The main focus of the event is to provide training on selling "Cloud" for 9 individuals. That is where my attention was directed. After receiving this clear direction, it motivated me to create the final design for the logo I pursued.

Typography

Vox Round Typeface

As stated by the Canada Type foundry, the creator of the Vox round typeface, it is described as an "extensive monoline typeface that possesses both precision and friendliness." This characterization sets the desired tone for the event.

Colors

Fire Red and Charcoal

The color palette for the logo draws inspiration from the existing color scheme of Intelisys' season campaign, "Crushing IT." Specifically, the logotype incorporates shades of fire engine red and charcoal, aligning with the branding established for this logo.

Variations

Event spinoff

Following the successful event, various spinoffs were organized across the United States for a period of three years. Consequently, I was tasked with creating multiple versions of the logo to suit each individual event.
